Vacation Day

You know how it is when you come back from vacation and there's all this mail waiting for you.

It's like that, but instead of mail I've got 8 "Garbage Day" videos.


I'll just do two of them now.

The first is DARTHKRUEGER's "Garbage Day plus a little more"





It's kind of like a DVD bonus feature that promises something extra, but then it's nothing special.

Maybe it's a video game reference. I don't get a lot of the young people's video game references. Maybe if he's said, "Elf needs food badly" I'd laffed. Or maybe not.

Sorry DarthKrueger.

I'd like to take this moment to point out that Wes Craven's iconic horror villain Freddy Krueger derives his name from "Krug" the bad guy in Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left."

Next up is another let-down.




VIDEOCIRCLE fails to capitalize on the premise of "Groundhog Day." I expected to see them play with the repetition of the scene, or something to mimic "Groundhog Day" and "Silent Night, Deadly Night 2." But it's as if not a lot of thought went into making this.

Though I really do admire the strange choice to make the DVD itself the victim.
