Vacation Day
You know how it is when you come back from vacation and there's all this mail waiting for you.
It's like that, but instead of mail I've got 8 "Garbage Day" videos.
I'll just do two of them now.
The first is DARTHKRUEGER's "Garbage Day plus a little more"
It's kind of like a DVD bonus feature that promises something extra, but then it's nothing special.
Maybe it's a video game reference. I don't get a lot of the young people's video game references. Maybe if he's said, "Elf needs food badly" I'd laffed. Or maybe not.
Sorry DarthKrueger.
I'd like to take this moment to point out that Wes Craven's iconic horror villain Freddy Krueger derives his name from "Krug" the bad guy in Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left."
* * *
Next up is another let-down.
VIDEOCIRCLE fails to capitalize on the premise of "Groundhog Day." I expected to see them play with the repetition of the scene, or something to mimic "Groundhog Day" and "Silent Night, Deadly Night 2." But it's as if not a lot of thought went into making this.
Though I really do admire the strange choice to make the DVD itself the victim.
More to come...

Questionable Entries
This blog documents the trend of “Garbage Day!” remakes; but today we’re including some other videos that give a shout-out to “Garbage Day!”
First up is a questionable clip that comes all the way from the U.K. Have the British ever heard of “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2”? Or do they think that’s just a regular trash day in America?
I don’t know. Decide for yourself with this 4-second video.
* * *
Next up, there’s this low low-budget movie trailer that has a “Garbage Day” moment at the 23-second mark. (I’ve included the time because the video is a lengthy 3:16)
“CONNOR, THIRD TEASER TRAILER” is good-natured, sloppy pastiche of film and TV references (including from “Kill Bill” to “Dirty Harry” and “The Office”. I know this because their YouTube description includes links to each of the scenes they’re alluding to. I kind of like that. It’s specific to this medium. God knows I wasn’t able to provide an index of references I included in my 7th grade movies.)
“Connor” appears to be one of those videos two dudes made to show to their friends. And again, thanks to the new media landscape, they probably have hundreds of MySpace and Facebook friends who can chuckle at their video exploits.
* * *
Finally, there’s this minute-long live musical performance by a band called “BUT CAKE”.
The song is “Garbage Day” and it may or may not be a pointed reference. I tried to decipher the song’s lyrics to find additional clues (i.e. lines about blue sweaters, handguns or “What? No!”) -- alas, I was shit out of luck because I couldn’t understand the singer. Man I feel old. But at the same time, these videos totally take me back to my adolescence where the days were used to make dopey videos and the nights were spent watching basement rock concerts.
Whoa - careful not to romanticize those teenage years!
* * *
There you have it, three more “Garbage Day!” videos.

Corrections
Earlier this month I pulled a big boner. (Figuratively)
I’d posted “GMOD Adventures, part 16” calling it the first animated “Garbage Day!”
I’ve since discovered two animations that precede it.
GARBAGE DAY’S REVENGE was posted on google video on tax day of 2006. (You think they’d go with “Tax Day!”, but no.)
This remake is part of that sub-genre (from the mid-00's) where people re-edit the Public Service Announcements that appeared at the end of GI JOE episodes.
Later that year (12/19/06) BETAFOOD posted this anime “Garbage Day”.
It seems like anime lends itself to re-dubbing.
Anyway, that’s another correction.
Progress, not perfection.

Holy Garbage Day, Batman!
I think we all knew SERABO was destined for great things.
But this goes beyond my expectations.
SERABO, you have outdone yourself!
I don't know where you can go from here. Shhhh... let's not worry about tomorrow. Let's live in the moment and bask in the glow of this mini-epic.

Part the Third
A lot of blogs run stories about rumored third-installments like "Bill & Ted 3", "Ghostbusters 3", and "Big Mama's House 3".
But I am pleased to announce that the rumor surrounding a third Marsvolta590 "Garbage Day" is not just a rumor.
It's a reality.
Thanks for the laughs, fellas.

A Couple of Po-Mos
If you had told me that someone was going to make another SNL/OC Garbage Day I wouldn’t believe it.
First I’d think “Ugh!”
But inside, “Are they seriously trying to be clever? Or are they being ironic? Possibly even POST-MODERN?”
How do we measure when enough time has passed for something to be appropriately retro/campy/kitschy.
...
The other night I was talking to my wife and I said (in a Dana Carvey- George Bush voice) “Nah Ganna Do It...”
I thought it was hilarious. (Of course)
But she said it wasn’t retro so much as pathetic.
I think it’s a raw nerve because we still have a Bush in the White House.
But honestly, can we expect well-deserved laughs when we say “No Problem!” in an ALF voice.
Or are we simply fooling ourselves when we try to ironically revive the phrase “Whoomp, there it is!”
I will leave it to the “zeitgeist” to decide. (Even though I’ve never fully understood the concept of the zeitgeist, but I posses the boldness of a college sophomore to use it anyway)
...
Here’s “Garbage Day” by marsvolta590.
Wow! What a couple a goofs.
I never thought I’d want to see ANOTHER “Mmm whatca say” but damnit those two knuckleheads won me over with their wreckless abandon and geeky charm.
And what was that in the gunshot wound?! Chicken skin? I don’t know, but I think the Nike shirt is ruined. And, by gum it was worth it!
As for all you fuddy-duddies who weren’t impressed, maybe you should see their SECOND Garbage Day movie, called “Garbage Day 2.”
As the saying goes, if you liked marsvolta590’s “Garbage Day”, you’ll love “Garbage Day 2”
I look forward to seeing more great videos from those loveable goofballs.

38 and counting
The last few days have been really busy. It’s been GARBAGE WEEK!
Here’s the latest, it’s from CTUFILMS, they call it “Another Friggin’ Garbage Day Parody.”
Not just another parody, it’s the 38th “Garbage Day” to grace this website.
I was surprised by the experimental audio-mix, combining the movie’s “what? no!” with a live-action “Garbage Day”.
And they really surprised me with those intense edits at the end.
But what is “Chappy”?

Happy Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Actor Eric Freeman is 41 today.
Sadly, no one made him a “Happy Birthday” video.
Too bad, it would make a great e-card.
We will have to settle for this.
Eric hasn’t worked much since “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2”
The Internet Movie Database lists his only other credits as a movie called “Ghost Writer” (he played “Guy #1”) and small roles on the TV series “Dangerous Curves”, “Valerie’s Family” and “Just the 10 of Us”.
I’ve read that he appeared in an episode of “Unsolved Mysteries”. (Ironic that the man who has been re-enacted dozens of times on theis blog was once a re-enactor himself.)
Supposedly Eric was not the best candidate to play the role of Ricky in “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2”. The filmmakers found a better actor who had more experience, but they hired Eric because of his good looks.
He shares his birthday with Bob Crane, Cheech Marin and Pope Clement X.

Why I get up each morning...
You’ve arrived just in time to see the latest “Garbage Day” remake, it’s an epic! (3 minutes and 20 seconds) BENANDJEFFFILMS presents a re-enactment of the entire massacre scene from “Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2”.
I’ve spent the better part of this blog spouting MY opinion on these remakes. But enough of my yakkin’ -- here’s your chance to give your thoughts in our “Garbage Day Book Club”
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS.
1. Did the buzzing noise add to the video or just distract you?
2. Were you expecting their parents to tell the boys to “knock it off” -- or were the parents just glad the boys were outside?
3. What is the significance of the birthmark shaped like a comet? (Sorry, that’s for my discussion questions about CLOUD ATLAS.)
4. Why are so many adolescent males drawn to re-enacting “Garbage Day”?
That last one prompts the question -- “What’s up with this dude’s blog about GARBAGE DAY?”
Here’s the deal:
Earlier this year I was working for HBO, writing on a comedy website.
One of the executives wanted to feature the hottest trends from the internet. His example was, “The Best Christopher Walken Impressions on the web.”
I know. I KNOW!
I responded by saying if we wanted to feature the edgiest, coolest, trendiest viral videos, we should showcase the best “Garbage Day” remakes. And I emailed all the ones I could find.
No one liked the idea. (Except one guy who said I was being “slyly subversive” -- actual quote.)
Anyway, they never made the “Best of Garbage Day”.
But they did collect THE BEST CHRISTOPHER WALKEN IMPRESSIONS FROM THE WEB.
Sigh.
I quit a three weeks later.
Then I decided I’d show those ass-clowns the true meaning of “online trends in viral videos” and I gave the world this blog as a love letter.
You’re welcome.
...
p.s. you can see some of my HBO work here.

Swingline
Our latest wave of videos comes from CODENAME36.
The first entry is a traditional remake, simply titled “GARBAGE DAY!”
Is that handgun realistic enough or what?
I was really drawn in by the video’s soundtrack. This is not the urgent 80’s synth-driven score from “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2”. Rather, it sounds like the incidental music from a 70’s detective show like “Barnaby Jones” or “Cannon.”
The ominous score is offset by the cartoonish, Paul Reubens-esque delivery of “Garbage Day!”
All in all, a fine piece of re-making.
But what’s this?!
CODENAME36’s next video is a wild departture, unlike anything we’ve seen before.
GMOD ADVENTURES, PART 16
A lot to unpack here.
Let me start of by saying that I have not seen GMOD ADVENTURES parts 1-15. I’m not a video-game guy.
I kind of lost interest after the “Garbage Day!” scene.
But I was really impressed with that part. Particularly the choice to make the gunman Ronald McDonald. There’s a deep-rooted fear of clowns in this country. (Maybe even more so in other countries.)
In Douglas Coupland’s latest novel, J-POD, a group of disgruntled video-game programmers add an extensive Easter Egg in which a homocidal clown runs amock in the video game. I wonder if CODENAME36 is a Coupland fan?
I don’t follow the rest of the story. The red stapler must be an homage to Mike Judge’s “Milton” cartoon (later made into “Office Space”)
Anyway, let’s all give a big high-five to CODENAME36 for making the world a better place through “Garbage Day” videos.

Long Island Garbage Day
Long Island gets a bad rap. But here, filmmaker TO4AD gives us the first ever "Garbage Day" in beautiful black and white.
Don't let the black and white fool you. This is not some self-indulgent film-school thesis project. They don't waste our time or get all self-indulgent and post-modern. It fucking delivers.
Thanks TO4AD.

Guitar Day
Another video that escaped my radar is "Guitar Day!"
No "great shakes" as the old people say. But it is worth noting that at seven seconds, this is the shortest "Garbage Day" (unless maybe those pink cartoon bunnies do a 5-second version.)

Brain Dead
Until recently, I’d only searched YouTube for “Garbage Day” videos. That is lazy blog journalism. (Is there any other kind?)
I apologize for my unprofessional research and I proudly present two videos that would have otherwise gone overlooked.
First up there’s “Chariots of Garbage Day”, a deliciously predictable short that premiered online in October 2006.
It's not groundbreaking or daring, but the simplicity works for me.
Though I do miss hearing Eric Freeman say “Garbage Day!”
“Mr. Mom” was the first movie to capitalize on setting a scene in slow-motion while playing the instantly recognizable score from “Chariots of Fire.” That comedy formula has been used countless times -- including “National Lampoon’s Vacation”, “Married...With Children”, "The Simpsons" and recently in an episode of “Ugly Betty.”
The “Chariots of Garbage Day” filmmaker also edited together “Chariots of Lebowski” (theme music set to a slow-motion scene from “The Big Lebowski”) and “Chariots of Braindamage” (That one features a scene from Peter Jackson's horror-comedy “Braindamage.” It was released in the U.S. as “Dead-Alive” because there was already an American horror film called "Brain Dead") Those two videos are a little more on-the-nose because they actually feature people running.
The next video I encountered is a doozy.
It’s very tempting to write something like “Worst Garbage Day Ever”, but I don’t respect people who throw around those kinds of superlatives.
“Worst ______ Ever” has become a shorthand, allowing dullards to express a negative opinion without articulating themselves.
Blogs, message boards and Vh1 have encouraged this empty form of debate in an increasing effort to make us a nation of semi-literates. Because of this ugly trend, I’ve forced myself to stop using phrases like “worst pancakes of all time” or “lamest verdict ever” because it makes me sound less intelligent.
That said, here’s why I disliked the video:
It was shot indoors. And that choice seemed more lazy than stylistic.
The filmmakers aren't passionate. This is supported by the description of the video which says “We were bored, so we made sumpthin from Silent Night Deadly Night 2”.
The video is titled “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 - Garbage Day”, the title reflects the movie’s overall lack of imagination.
The lighting is bad, the camera work is terrible, and even the continuity is off. (Did you notice that the victim starts off in a red T-shirt, but is later wearing a black jacket?)
Some people might say, “Whatever, they’re just 13-year-olds making a dopey video.”
But to me, the sloppy effort is part of a bigger problem, like the over-use of superlatives, lazy-blogging and people using Wikipedia for medical advice.
Also, I made an effort when I was a kid making dopey videos.
To sum-up: "Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 - Garbage Day" is not a very good movie, but I won’t call it “the worst video on the internet”, if for no other reason because I haven’t seen every video on the internet.

Independence Day
Happy fourth of July.
No new videos to commemorate the nation's freedom from the British.
BUT we were treated to a new video from SERABO this week.
Experts talk about the comedy "rule of threes" in comedy. There's a three-act strucutre, three-panel comic strips, three people in a joke (i.e. a priest, a rabbai and a lawyer walk into a bar), three Stooges, three "Rush Hour" movies, etc.
But "Garbage Day? Graduation Day!!!" proves to the be the exception to the rule. It's a two-parter, but I don't want to give anything away...
Okay, I've got to go, the "Twilight Zone" marathon isn't going to watch itself.

Teen Garbage Day
These online filmmakers just keep getting younger...
Much the same way some people are unnerved by ventriloqism or tiny-dogs-wearing-sweaters, I am unsettled by FUIKAMON's new video. I guess it has something to do with the kid opening his mouth too much when he lip-syncs. Or maybe it's the suspension of disbelief when the guy is shot by a household spray-bottle. Or maybe it speaks to the history of school shootings.
Whatever it is, this is a powerful, haunting "Garbage Day" remake.
Joe Bob says check it out!

Dateline: Ithaca
I never thought of Ithaca as a hotbed of irreverent comedy.
The following video could change all that.
Or not. I have to give a "sweep of the old Brooks broom" to these kids for doing more than just a re-enactment or an O.C. parody.
Though, I do think it's far-fetched that (SPOILER!) the girl accurately identifies the source material. I don't want to make crude generalizations, but in my limited experience with the fairer sex, I've found that chicks dislike the works of Stanley Kubrick, the 3 Stooges and the guy who made "Silent Night, Deadly Night 2". Okay, that's my Men-are-from-Mars, Women-don't-dig-Tom-Waits soapbox moment.

Welcome to the party, Serabo!
Friends, please give a warm welcome to the newest super-star in “Garbage Day” inspired videos. He’s a self-described amateur actor-singer-wrestler and he likes making “goofy movies.” SERABO, you are just the kind of guy we’re looking for.
For starters, he delivered this “Garbage Day Spoof” -- he’s brought some nice elements to the mix, including Beethoven’s fifth, a cast of players and he begins the re-enactment not at the garbage but with Ricky’s confrontation with the law.
Enough of my yakking, see for yourself --
Days later he’s back with a virtual cocktail of B-movie genres, simply titled “Garbage Day? No, Payday”
Serabo’s next installment hits on a calendar holiday previously untapped by Garbage Day filmmakers. It’s “Garbage Day? No, President’s Day”
It would be easy to dismiss Serabo’s “Garbage Day? no, Christmas day!!!” as being too on-the-nose as a parody of “Silent Night, Deadly Night 2”
But consider this -- modern action movies are looking more like videogames, and Serabo offers a breath of fresh air by having the gunman take a long time with his homicidal act. It’s not too fast, it’s not too slow; it’s just right.
3 days later he’s made ANOTHER video. He’s keeping a brisk pace with his production schedule, he’s not making them on the weekends. Or maybe he’s shooting on the weekend and editing at night. I don’t know, who can say how Serabo’s mind works.
This Serabo guy brings it: the costumes, the music, the variety of firearms. He’s made 5 videos in less than a month and he really knows how to take a fall.
The videos might not be as clever as Somethingday’s, but this dude really believes in his art, and here at Garbagdays.blogspot.com, we salute him!

Dear Sister: Memoirs of a Beaten, Dead Horse
If you're new to this blog, I suggest you skip this entry and read "A People's History of Garbage Day". This post could be too much too soon.
In David Sedaris' "Naked", the author includes an aside about stepping into a high-end gift store and seeing a pair of glass eyeballs. His immediate impulse was to hold the eyes in front of his face and make his brother laugh. Before he could make this joke Sedaris noticed a sign on the counter which said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Please do not pick up the eyeballs and hold them up to your face." The moment was a crushing one for Sedaris. It illustrates something we all go through, which is thinking we've come up with a unique, hilarous gag only to discover that everyone and their sister has the same impulse.
Which brings us to the "Dear Sister" videos.
Our story begins on May 19, 2005, a.k.a the night of The O.C.'s second-season finale. In a tense moment of gunplay and melodrama Marissa saves Ryan's life by shooting his brother. To ensure that audience understood the drama, the scene was presented in slow-motion, complete with a powerful emo sountrack.
I hate to waste blog-space showing clips from The O.C., but you can watch the original scene here.
In 2007, Saturday Night Live lampooned the cancelled, prime-time soap opera with one of their world famous "digital shorts." I don't know why they waited two years. Perhaps America just wasn't ready to laugh so soon after Marissa shot Trey.
Again, I don't want to waste valueable blog space with SNL content, but you can see their video here.
In no time, internet-video enthusiasts were flooding cyberspace with their own "Dear Sister" mash-ups. I hesitate to call them "parodies", as they don't actually parody anything. The vidoes have all the satirical bite of a skit you'd see at Summer Camp.
This new trend of re-creations incorporates "Wedding Crashers", "Lost", "South Park", "300", Elmer Fudd, Nintendo's "Duck Hunt", basically any media moment wherein someone fires a gun. (I tell ya, somebody could create a rarely visited weblog devoted to those mash-ups. Don't look at me, I've got my hands full!)
To date there are four "Garbage Day" videos inspired by the SNL hijinks.
(ABANDON HOPE ALL YE WHO CLICK HERE!)
The first comes from TEENWOLFTHEBAND. To his credit (?), this was the first of its kind. The resulting video offers the comfort and predictability of a Quizno's grilled-cheese sandwich. (note: this video was already featured in "A People's History of Garbage Day")
The next video to combine the chocolate and peanut butter of Eric Freeman and Imogen Heap was "Dear Sister: Garbage Day edition". To MRCAMEL123's credit, s/he tells the same joke in half the time.
Cinephiles will prefer the NINJASKICKANUS version, because it's presented in letterbox format.
But the last one to the party was GATSBYEXPRESS, who's self-proclaimed "spoof" distinguishes itself by starting with additional footage of the shooter. We open on Ricky, as though GATSBYEXPRESS identifies with the criminal and not the victim.
I would like to point out that most of the video-makers do not have any other videos listed on their YouTube page, except for MRCAMEL123 who posted something called "Penis Power Remix" -- again, he speaks to the cinephiles.
Also of interest, none of the filmmakers seem to be aware of each other's work. I hope this blog sets them all straight.

Happy Mother's Day
My Mom doesn't know about this blog. I don't think she'd "get it".
Anyway, you might expect someone to post a "Mother's Day"/"Garbage Day" video this weekend. In a perfect world Nancy Walker would rise from the grave and appear in a housecoat and fuzzy slippers to gun down some schlub in his driveway. Alas, it was not to be.
. . .
Tom Carvel once said "Ice Cream is good, but an ice cream cake shaped like a whale and covered in fudge is better."
Likewise, a "Mother's Day" video would be good, but SomethingDay's latest video is better. Again, the gunman really chews the scenery, but it's that unsupecting straight man who really sells the piece. See for yourself...
oh, and if you were looking for a good Mother's Day video, this one's as reliable as a Whitman Sampler...

A People's History of "Garbage Day!"
CLOSE-UP: Garbage Can.
REVERSE SHOT: Can is removed to reveal Ricky.
RICKY: (eyebrows a flutter) Garbage Day!
TRASH OWNER: Huh? No - UH!
RICKY: Heh heh heh...
It all started with "SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2" (1987) The horror sequel (part 2 of 5) featured a scene where a crazed anti-hero runs amock in the suburbs...
Since then, "Garbage Day!" has become a phenomena, complete with tributes, parodies and mash-ups. This blog will serve as an anthology of these 20-second clips.
The first documented remake came from IANTNOEVANGELIST. The washed-out video is no longer availible for embedding (by the filmmaker's request), but it can be seen if you go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftPWI3adKws&NR.
GARBAGEDAYREMAKE premiered on YouTube in March 2006.
The next version was a decidedly "geek"-y cover, posted by DARKDRONE on July 2, 2006.
Three days later FIEDY88 responded with his take on the video -- and he made "Garbage Day" history by playing the gunman AND the victim. His artistic choice would go on to inspire other visionary kids who own a camera but don't have theatrical friends.
Next came an old standby, the "Garbage Day Massacre" as an old-timey silent movie. You won't get to hear the classic line, but you will get an opportunity to follow actor Eric Freeman's expressive eyebrows.
Which brings us to one of the most controversial tributes yet: As of this writing, JACKASS233's no-buget rendition is one of the most poorly reviewed versions on the internet. And yet, it has a special place in my Garbage Day heart, probably because it's performed entirely by children.
But the worst was yet to come: JR. GARBAGE DAY answers the question, "How bad can these things get?"
The Garbage-Day-osphrere went silent for a few weeks. However this pregnant pause was merely the calm before the storm: SOMETHINGDAY made their first contribution with the absurd "TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY". The deadpan video combines the raw energy of "Garbage Day" with the irreverence of "Talk Like a Pirate Day" This movie went online just in time for National Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Following the momentum of "PIRATE", SOMETHINGDAY defied the sophmore slump and produced the wildly popular "LAUNDRY DAY". Like its predecessor, the video reimagines the Garbage Day myth in an all-new context. The results speak for themselves.
Meanwhile, FARSYGHT was editing a would-be viral video in which the Garbage Day gunman is paying lip service to the X-box game "Emergence Day - Gears of War". Damn you, makers of Branded Content -- is nothing sacred?
By the end of September 2006, it seemed like everyone was making "Garbage Day" videos -- even this speed-metal-goateed guy.
October 2006 was a time of quiet reflection. Everyone was waiting for someone else to make the next remake. EMOSTEVE69 stepped up to the plate and delivered not one, but TWO videos.
The first, titled COMMANDO GARBAGE DAY 1, edited the sounds of "SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2" with video and dialogue from some other movie. The slow-moving mash-up failed on multiple levels, leaving fans angry, confused and even a little betrayed.
But the same day, EMOSTEVE69 redeemed himself by posting a terse tribute called NOT LAWSONS DAY (sic) A leaner, meaner version of COMMANDO GARBAGE DAY 1, the video gives audiences what they want to see.
By January 2007 media analyists wondered "Is Garbage Day mania over?"
No. Because in mid-February, GEETARJIZOSH92 delighted the world with one of the most innovative and hilarious spoofs yet. Rather than taking the bait of "Valentine's Day" the tweens (teens?) delivered "CLEANING YOUR ROOM DAY"
As if to prove that the Garbage Day Madness was experiencing a full-on renaissance, SOMETHINGDAY returned with another on-the-nose parody. "JUDGEMENT DAY" is "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST" meets "SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 2", only better.
Soon the pendulum was swinging back, evidenced by this this multi-layered parody that collapses under its own weight. "DEAR GARBAGE DAY" tries to mock (?) a Saturday Night Live digital short (starring Shia LaBeouf) which in turn parodied (?) a shoot-out scene from The O.C., with music by Imogen Heap. Somehow it's exactly what you'd expect from a filmmaker called TEENWOLFTHEBAND.
Meanwhile this sorry video, unimaginatively titled "THE WORST MOVIES EVER", recognized actor Eric Freeman as the "worst actor ever" for his delivery of the "Garbage Day" line. (I think they're missing the point, don't you?) Later, the "worst movies" reel was posted on VH1's "Web Junk", where the editors call it a scene from "Silent Night, Deadly Night 1" Grrrr. VH1 loves their superlative lists, but they play fast and loose with the facts.
Next up, HARKZ87 produced this extended, non-campy remake. His "Garbage Day" uses tense music and an attention to detail to make a chilling re-enactment. (Althought the tiny garbage can kind of breaks the moment.)
We'll end on a goofy note: a self-described "crummy take-off" titled "Gardening Day", produced by GUGJUICE (yes, the same GUGJUICE who made "Snakes in a Hallway" just last week.) This is just the kind of video I would have made at their age. Of course instead of EVANESSANCE, the soundtrack would be RUSH or BLACK SABBATH.
Thanks for reading. Check back for more videos as they happen.
